COLOUR STUDY
August 4-8, 2008
Denise Richard
Colour theory is geared towards anyone who uses colour in their work no matter what medium. It is a visual language from which to express things to the viewer in a subliminal way. In this course, students will study the colour sphere and be able to identify complex colour mixtures and recognize specific colour relationships, contrasts, and harmonies. A variety of design strategies will be explored via exercises with paint. Power point presentations will provide opportunities for students to see how artists and designers use colour, and to better understand how humans respond to colour.
Fee: $375 plus HST Member / $400 plus HST Non Member
