
USING DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY FOR VISUAL COMMUNICATION

Spend the week learning how to use your digital camera to capture stunning photographs. Explore various subjects including nature, landscape, architecture, portraiture and gardens. Through a series of easy-to-learn tips and techniques, Lance will guide each participant to becoming a better photographer, no matter what equipment or level of experience. Participants will learn through a combination of group instruction, demonstrations, slide shows, on-site assignments, and group critiques as they are guided through the streets, beaches, buildings and gardens of St. Andrews. Time will be set aside for shooting at Kingsbrae Horticultural Garden where over 50,000 flowers, shrubs, and trees, plus peacocks, alpaca and goats are waiting to be photographed.
Note:
Students MUST have a digital camera. Use of a tripod is strongly recommended.

Lance Timmons

Lance Timmons is a professional photographer with a comprehensive knowledge of both digital and traditional photography located in Saint John, N.B. As well as working in the commercial photography industry, Lance is an accomplished nature and wildlife photographer with a unique talent and an uncommon eye for the beauty of nature. He teaches photography classes and workshops, as well as providing one-on-one consulting to individuals at all levels of expertise. He is an award-winning graduate of the Alberta College of Art & Design's 4-year photography degree program, having graduated with distinction at the top of his class. He has lived overseas and travelled extensively in over 20 countries, including Russia, Turkey and Scotland. Lance’s passion, extensive knowledge and talent for photography and teaching are evident to his commercial clients, his students and to all those who meet him.
