THANK YOU everyone for making our first annual Guess Who event such an enormous success!
More than $10,000 was raised!
On Saturday October 2, 2010, more than 200 people came out to support Sunbury Shores at the First Annual Guess Who? Art Event.
Local and national artists, craftspeople, writers, musicians, actors, radio / television personalities, politicians created and donated 6" x 8" works of art to Sunbury Shores to be sold during a huge one day sale. All the work was the same price. However... all the pieces were signed on the back. So, no one knew who they bought, until the end of the evening. For those who are wondering... here are photos of the event and of who did what:

- Brian Allen Adams, Artist
[Brian Allen Adams is an award winning artist (first visual artist to win best
product in over 30 years at ACTS), who has exhibited in galleries and museums. He is a past
president of NBCC (New Brunswick Crafts Council) and his work is in the collection of the K.C Irving Museum. Brian is also a Juried Carver
who has owned and operated an art gallery for over 20 years.]

[Using oil and/or acrylics, Ruby Allan is inspired by people. You will find
figures in most of her streetscenes, seascapes etc. Her attention to the
spirit within her paintings draws you immediately.]
- Jerome Andrews, Artist
[Jerome Andrews is a member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour. He specializes in landscapes, seascapes and surrealistic images.]
- Poppy Balser, Artist
[Poppy Balser paints because it allows her to respond to her surroundings in a way that she otherwise could not. It allows her to revel in her happy memories of spending all her daylight hours on the seashore and to portray those things she finds to be special around her.]
- Robert Bartlett, Doctor
[Robert Bartlett was born and raised in Charlotte county, left for 35 years but returned, self taught artist in oils and acrylics, occasional stone sculptor, physician, developer, failed retiree, Kubota owner, and general bon vivant - and President of Sunbury Shores.]

[Although famous for his wildlife paintings, Robert Bateman is also a lecturer and author on art, nature, conservation and the environment.]
- Jantje Blokhuis-Mulder, Artist
[Jantje Blokhuis Mulder's work reflects her seaside surroundings and her gameboards, collages, paintings, woodburnings, floorcloths and folk art sculptures can be found in collections around the world. She is co-founder of KinderArt.com]
- Wilma Blokhuis, Writer and Stained Glass Artist
[A former sections editor at the Oakville Beaver newspaper, freelance writer Wilma Blokhuis also dabbles in stained glass.]
- D. Lynne Bowland, Artist
[Lynne Bowland is a Deer Island artist who works in stained glass, leaded glass, forged steel, hammered metals, and lamp worked beads.]
- Sue Burnham
[A Maritime self-taught artist, Sue Burnham creates moving scenes with oil and acrylic, reflecting her warm memories of Saint John, as well as the Maritime area. Sue likes the challenge of recreating an honest representation of a scene, but her first goal is to capture an emotion within her work. ]

- Herménégilde Chiasson, Artist, Poet and Playwright
[Herménégilde Chiasson is a noted Acadian poet, artist and playwright born in St-Simon, New Brunswick, Canada. He was the 29th Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick between 2003 and 2009. He is also currently a professor at Université de Moncton. Chiasson's artistic production is immense. He has participated in more than 100 exhibitions, including 18 solo exhibitions.]
- Stan Choptiany, Town Councilor
[Stan Choptiany is one of St. Andrews' Town Councilors. He is also an artist.]
- Brigitte Clavette, Silversmith
[Award winning silversmith Brigitte Clavette, is the head of the Jewellery and Metal Arts Studio at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in Fredericton. Her hollowware and silver work is in private and public collections across Canada and Europe and has been shown internationally.]
- Gerald M. Cloud, Artist
[An award-winning artist, Gerald Cloud's work is found in many public, private and institutional collections, and he has participated in over 100 Solo, group, invitational, juried, and institutional fine art exhibitions.]

- Sheryl Crighton, Artist
[After beginning her formal education in art in Saskatchewan, Sheryl Crighton completed one year of portraiture at the Ottawa School of Art and then received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Ottawa. ]
- Peter Cunningham, Photographer
[Peter Cunningham lives on two islands: Grand Manan in the remote Canadian Maritimes and Manhattan in New York City. As a professional photographer for the last 30 years, his job has been to photograph musicians, actors, writers, children, brides, and businessmen, but his passion has been the creation of Still Films which string together images as if they were metaphors forming the body of a poem. Peter’s portfolio of "famous faces" include publicity shots of such celebrities as Bruce Springsteen and Madonna.]

[Jay Dampf is a Toronto-based artist skilled in a wide variety of media and styles. Much of the work he produces is representational with realism and impressionism the most popular styles with his audience.]
- Bertha Day, Artist
[Bertha Day is a mixed media artist who works with fabric, paper, paint and thread. She is recognized for her distinctive textile designs. This work, sometimes combining painting and embroidery, ranges from wearable art to wallhangings and cushions.]
- Cindy Day, Meteorologist

[Meteorologist Cindy Day is one of CTV’s newest and brightest on-air personalities. Originally from Bainsville, Ontario, Cindy has been a Maritimer for 12 years. Armed with a degree in meteorology from McGill University, Cindy has been involved in meteorology in some form for more than 25 years. She started her career with Environment Canada briefing pilots at the MacDonald Cartier Airport in Ottawa. She then began her media career with CFRA radio in Ottawa hosting a program called Ottawa AM. Changing tracks, she went on to create her own business - “Weather by Day” a weather-based consulting service that provided seasonal forecasts, climate data and radio reports for Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec.
In 1998 Cindy moved to Nova Scotia to start her Maritime media career. Cindy has been with CTV since September 2007 and has quickly become an indispensable member of the CTV News team.
Cindy is an admitted chocoholic and is, without question, the Montreal Canadiens’ biggest fan. Cindy lives in Dartmouth with her Beagle “Bix”. In addition to skiing and cooking in the winter and golfing and gardening in the summer, Cindy loves to collect umbrellas for those rainy Maritime days.]
- Betty Drummie, Artist
[Betty Drummie is a St. Andrews artist. Her paintings in oil, watercolor and acrylic, range from landscapes, seascapes and animals.]
- Ruth Dunfield, Musician and Stained Glass Artist
[Singer/songwriter Ruth Dunfield is an accomplished musician, performing and writing music for most of her life, acquiring a loyal cult following who appreciates her authentic artistic voice.]
- Lorne Elliott, Comedian, Musician and Playwright
[Lorne Elliot has performed from Newfoundland to New York City, from Los Angeles to Australia and points in between. Lorne started performing in 1974 as a folk musician in East Coast Canada. At the same time he kept writing fiction as well as songs, monologues and one-liners. The outcome of such a training is a very special show of comedy and music, totally original, entertaining, up-lifting and foolish enough to make everybody laugh. Along with his unique and wacky performance style, it is the timelessness of his material, joined with keen observations of today's trends that make Lorne Elliot's work so special.]

[C.B. Forrest is a Canadian mystery writer, general fiction writer and poet. The first novel in his mystery series featuring detective Charlie McKelvey is the critically-acclaimed The Weight of Stones, shortlisted for the Arthur Ellis Award for best first novel. The second in the series, Slow Recoil, will be released in Fall 2010.]

[William Forrestall is one of Atlantic Canada's leading creative professionals with a national reputation in the visual arts, offering a creative approach sorely needed in the political world.]
- Alan Gerber, Musician
[Alan Gerber is a part of music history. Discovered by legendary producer Paul Rothchild (The Doors and Janis Joplin) in the 1960's Gerber became part of the band Rhinoceros and toured with the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, BB King, Lou Reed and a host of others. He was part of Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Review and lived in New York's Chelsea Hotel with Andy Warhol.]

Bonny Hill, Artist
[Vibrant colours characterize Bonny Hill's style. She is interested in what the viewer sees as being real and has explored this with large canvases that, from a distance, appear to be photo-realistic macro shots, but up close are painterly with non-objective arrangements.]
- Marlene Hilton Moore, Artist
[Canadian artist and sculptor Marlene Hilton Moore is known internationally for her public artworks, often depicting life size historic figures.
Marlene's installation in St Martins, NB, "The Head in the Ocean" was installed in the St Martin's Harbour Park from 2000 - 2003. She created the work to fill and empty with the daily tide. When the tide was in the Head disappeared and when the tide was out it reappeared. She also has a permanent public sculpture in Rothesay, on the old road beside the Kenebecasis River. It is called "Kennebeccasis" and is based upon the Maritime culture of this community.]

- Theresa MacKnight, Artist
[Theresa MacKnight began her formal art training at Mount Allison University and then Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Theresa has held studios in Fredericton, Saint John and now in her home in Miramichi, N.B. She specializes in encaustic painting. ]

[Jamie Steel is a well known, award winning naturalist and environmental educator who has appeared on programs such as the Discovery Channel's "Harrowsmith Country Life", ABC's "Good Morning America" and the children's program "Wonder Why?" He is also an accomplished photographer and, as of Setember 2010, the executive director of Sunbury Shores.]

[Artist Donald Sutherland, a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, has spent most of his life in contact with the natural world. So it should be no surprise that the images that he creates reflect the nature that he loves.
