CHILDREN'S COURSE: BUILDING AN ARMATURE AND CLAY SCULPTURE

Ages 9-12

July 7-10, 2008 (9:30am - 12:00pm)

Instructor: Faith Fowler

This week, learn about the importance of a good framework on which to model clay sculpture. We'll draw and plan, and build a strong skeletal structure over which the clay will be molded to make your sculpture.

Instructor: Faith Fowler

Our instructor is local artist and resident Faith Fowler. Faith received her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Mount Allison University and also worked as a Photographic Technician at Mount Allison. She was a director of STRUTS Gallery, an artist-run centre in Sackville, NB. Her work has been shown at Fog Forrest Gallery and the Owens Art Gallery in Sackville and in a New Brunswick Juried Art Exhibition at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Fredericton.

Faith specializes in pet portraiture and teaches to children during the school year in Sunbury Shores' CLASS Program.

She makes learning fun and will nuture the creative imagination in each participant.
