Summer 2011
SKETCHING IN WATERCOLOUR AT KINGSBRAE GARDEN
August 9-10, 2011
Vaughn Butland

The watercolour sketchbook is an easy and exciting way to record your
getaway experience. The supplies are basic and compact for traveling.
During this short two day program you will create simple, bold sketches
and enjoy the freedom of watercolour. A high quality 9x12" or 8.5" x11"
acid free 140 Ib. watercolour sketchbook, one brush, a few tubes of
paint, a small palette, a pencil and an eraser are all you need. Put this
in a backpack and you are ready to go. We'll work “pleine air” from a
studio at Kingsbrae Gardens. Drawing with the accuracy of
Michelangelo or Picasso is not important. Your own colourful doodle is
a very personal expression of the experience and that's what matters.
This workshop is designed for painters of all levels .
This course will be held at Kingsbrae Garden.
