If you have ever wanted to learn about colour theory and colour mixing, then this is the class for you. The emphasis of this two-day workshop is in exploring the medium of transparent watercolour and its interpretation in a relaxed environment designed for all levels of painters. Each day will begin with a demonstration, and you will study watercolour triads for landscape, architecture, and their elements. You will also learn about Bonnie's unique blend of high-keyed colours and how to capture them - a variety of great greens for trees and shrubs, brilliant reds for great brick colour, and wonderful moody skies. You will also learn colour mixing, colour characteristics and properties, techniques for application, and “how to create mood” through colour interpretation to produce a dynamic, vibrant painting.

Bonnie Steinberg

Bonnie Steinberg is a popular and highly respected artist and art instructor who has conducted workshops and classes in Ontario and the United States. She is a graduate of York University and is an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour, (C.S.P.W.C.), the Society of Canadian Artists, (S.C.A.), and a signature member of the Toronto Watercolour Society, (T.W.S.). Her watercolours encompass a variety of subject matter with architectural detail being her latest achievement. Her use of high-keyed colour and dramatic light make Bonnie's paintings instantly recognizable. Bonnie has exhibited extensively in both solo and group shows throughout Canada and the United States. The front cover of the 75th anniversary brochure of the CSPWC featured Bonnie’s painting, which was accepted into the Permanent Diploma Collection.
