RELIEF PRINTMAKING

August 13 & 14, 2011 (weekend)

If you like drawing or painting, you will love printmaking. During this class, you will focus on relief printing (carving into wood or linoleum). Demonstrations in carving, inking, and hand printing will take place. A great opportunity to create hand made note-cards or frame-ready art for the wall.

Robert Van de Peer

Robert Van de Peer, a Master Printmaker trained in England, has over thirty years experience in printmaking. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts, Printmaking at the Medway College of Art, Rochester, England and his MFA - Painting and Lithography from the Royal Academy of Arts, London, England. Robert was a professor of printmaking at St. Lawrence College of Applied Arts and Technology in Kingston Ontario for 25 years and has been Master Printer in Residence at Sunbury Shores since 1998.
